A contemporary interpretation of the traditional English country house in greenbelt. Set in a little over one hectare (two and a quarter acres) of formal gardens and parkland and approached via a long, private drive, its location is arguably one of the best in the North West combining total privacy and stunning 360 deg. views.
A series of models (rather than CAD images) were used during the design development to resolve the relationship of the new house and separate garaging with the gently sloping site. Just one benefit of this approach was allowing the lower ground floor indoor pool to be naturally lit by large sets of French windows which open directly onto the lower lawns via a separate terrace.
What we did: design & consents, project management, general & specialist building.
